“The Burden of a Song is a masterpiece of existential, visual and stream of consciousness poetry, which traverses the tensions, passions and heartaches of relationships - both existing and imagined.”
—Mercutio Press
“Speaking of layout, have you read Catherine Paquette from Montreal? She's the first poet I've seen in a long time to commit herself (and almost an entire 32-page longpoem from Mercutio Press) to visual poetry. The burden of a song is alternately hilarious, disturbing, and wickedly inventive. Please read it. Seriously.”
—Sandra Alland, Scottish-Canadian author
